Unlocking the Wildest Corners of My Brain: Fashion, Laughs, Hyperfixations & More from My iPhone Notes
I wanted to start a Saturday series where I give you full access to the wildest corner of my brain: my iPhone Notes app.
One thing that freaks everyone out around me (especially my husband) is that I only have one running note on my phone. Just one. And it covers everything from:
My made-up workout split (that I’ll abandon by Wednesday)
Inspo quotes
Things that made me laugh
Trends, fashion finds, and new brands
Book and podcast recs
Links to products I’m obsessed with—or currently hyperfixating on
Pop culture commentary
Funny things my kids say
Holiday catering orders from 2022
Notes I type when I want to show my work bestie something without saying it out loud
And about 37 other things I’ve forgotten are even in there (random phone numbers I have no clue who they belong to, old doctor names, and recipes that no longer make sense– no, seriously, I just have the word bacon written in with no context)
This series won’t include everything, and it may not be every single Saturday—just the good and relevant stuff when it’s ready. Each week, I’ll pull from the same nine categories: fashion trends, finds, brands, accessories, hyperfixation-worthy products, book/podcast recs, inspo, pop culture rants, and mom moments.
Basically, it’s a scrollable, magazine-style weekend catch-up pulled straight from my notes.
And lucky for you, I don’t delete anything. Which is exactly why I have no storage left on my phone, my inbox is overflowing, and I now have this accidental treasure trove of content: the never-ending note.
Highlights from the singular and never-ending note I keep in my iPhone Notes app.
Lace Skirts: A recent trend that I’m loving is pairing a sheer lace skirt with an oversized button-down or tee-shirt. The sheerness of the skirt is scary but the girlies are wearing a nude colored biker short underneath to provide coverage.

Other Styling Options - Chose Your Fighters- Get The Look Formula:
Lace Skirt + Nude Shorts + Oversized Tee + Sneakers + Bonus: Oversized Jacket
Lace Skirt Options: Anthropologie Lace Skirt, H&M Lace Skirt, H&M Lace Skirt (#2), Aerie Lace Skirt, Steve Madden Lace Skirt
Nude Shorts: I have seen people wear high brief white underwear under these skirts- I feel most comfortable wearing nude biker shirts. You do you.
Tops: J.Crew Denim Shirt (Wearing these in look #1), Gap Graphic Tee, Urban Outfitters Graphic Tee, Anthropologie Trendy Sweatshirt
Shoe Options: Adidas Sneakers (Wearing these in look #2), Madewell Ballet Flat (Black), Madewell Ballet Flat (Nude- wearing these in look #3), J.Crew Black Strappy Sandals (Wearing these in look #1), New Balance Dad Sneakers, Adidas All White Samba Sneakers
Oversized Jackets: Anthropologie Oversized Leather Bomber Jacket , Quince Oversized Leather Shirt Jacket, Quince Oversized Denim Jacket

Ice Cream Manicure Nails: It’s an ombre French manicure- it blends a white tip into the base adding a creamy softness to the color.
Get the Look: But, let’s always trust the professionals with this type of stuff ;) VogueUK has posted a How-To guide if you want to try this at home. God bless.
Essie Nail Polish (Sheer Pink), Essie Nail Polish (Sugar Daddy)
OPI Nail Lacquer (Bubble Bath)
CND Gel Nail Polish (Negilgee) - This is what I got done at the nail salon!
My amazing nail tech Grace and I tried to recreate the look without doing “French” because I honestly do not have time or patience for that. This is the polish we used (3 coats).

GAP Elastic Waist Barrel Jeans: I am literally obsessed with all things elastic waist band. These jeans are not only comfortable, but have a draw string. SO much room for activities (Step Brothers reference) in these jeans. I love the slight barrel style.
Gap Elastic Waist Barrel Jeans (Style I’m wearing! *true to size, could’ve went up for a bigger look but didn’t)
Here are some other options if sizes are limited: GAP Medium-Wash Elastic Waist Jeans, GAP Factory Elastic Waist Jeans (literally look identical- lots of sizes available), Old Navy Elastic Waist Jeans, GAP Elastic Waist Horseshoe Jeans & these are a little darker of a wash (A bit more wider than the barrel), Anthropologie Pull-On Jeans
The “BIG” Button-Down Shirt: Loving this button-down shirt from Gap. It’s literally called the 'Big Shirt' and gives off the coolest, most effortless vibe. Look at me—a millennial—evolving and untucking my shirts. So many colors and styles.
The Gap BIG shirt is my #1 absolute favorite! Be sure to also check out the Gap BIG denim shirt and Gap BIG shirt in denim stripe- I really want this one!
Chin Masks: I am obsessed with these Amazon chin masks. I’m not sure what science was used to make them but they snatch your jawline pretty well for a non-surgical route.

It's a one-person book club because I tried a real one and always missed meetings or didn’t finish the book, too embarrassed to show up. This solo club? Works perfectly.
Recent Read: How To Giggle by Hannah Berner & Paige DeSorbo: I’m going through a phase where I just want to laugh. Perhaps I am numb to things going on in the world and using it as somewhat of an escape. I laughed and learned - my favorite combination if you can’t tell.
Takeaways: The importance of being brave, dreaming big, discussion of “niche icks” in people, practical skincare/self-tanning advice, and how to use laughter to cope with the stresses of life.

3D floral appliqués is a current shoe trend for the Spring/Summer. This means fun flowers on our sandals!
Here are some 3D flower sandals that I’m loving.
The Met Gala happened if you didn’t know and have been living under a rock. Here are my favorite “mall brand looks” (H&M, Tommy H. and Gap) because they feel closest to me and the rest of gen pop.
TLDR: Once a year fashion party hosted by Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. An exclusive invitation only event, has fun themes. The Super Bowl of Fashion.
Theme: Super Fine: Tailoring Black Style - Black Dandyism
Tailored suits- rich/bold colors
Crisp shirts- statement collars
Pocket squares, bow ties, and hats
Polished shoes

My daughter recently has 6,321 questions about water. Here are just a few:
Is pool water the same as sink water?
Is sink water the same as shower water?
Can a fish live in pool water?
Can you put a bath bomb in a fish tanks?
There are SO many amazing authors on Substack. Here are some recent reads that I’ve been obsessed with:
- in her publication Midimalist - all about how to style a button down shirt— like the GAP Big shirt!
Clothes for your fun runs, longevity walks, and everything in between by
in her publication Fashion Soup. I loved seeing her take on comfortable activewear that makes you feel good! We are coining this summer, Sporty Spice Summer!
That’s all for today! I hope you enjoyed this. I know weekends can get super busy, so I wanted to offer a more “bite-sized” version of style, humor, inspiration, and more.
Wishing all the moms and mom-like figures out there a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend! I hope you get a hotel room to yourself sometime soon—while your home gets cleaned and a laundry service picks up your family’s laundry and returns it folded, fresh, and ready to go.
We don’t ask for a lot ;)
